Take a deep breath! This happens quite frequently after a trauma. It could be something you didn’t even see happen and your child has never complained. The fall could have happened yesterday or a year ago! Anytime a child takes a spill and bumps his teeth, this can happen and there's no specific timeline on if/when you would see color changes. What you're seeing in the picture below is a discolored tooth - it's kind of like an internal bruise. The colors can range from yellow to this type of dark purple.
